Juan Manuel Rosas
[Manuscript]
August 10, 1835
Commentary:
Rosas informs the governor of Mendoza that the Reynafé brothers are being accused of assassinating Facundo. Rosas believes that Don Antonio Reynafé has left the city (Córdoba) and probably the Province. He is afraid the other two brothers (Francisco and Guillermo) will also leave. Rosas urges the governor to join the Federalist cause by searching for the Reynafé brothers within his Province. If they are found, he must have them sent to Córdoba, where they will be prosecuted. All the expenses are to be covered by the government of Córdoba. Rosas firmly asks the governor of Mendoza to cooperate, for this assassination has deeply wounded the honor of the Confederation. Description by Margarita Hernández.
