Iohannes Herolt, Sermones Discipuli de tempore; 23ra-249vb; Sermones Discipuli de sanctis; 252ra-310rb; Promptuarium exemplorum Discipuli secundum ordinem alphabeti, fols. 313ra-384rb; Promptuarium Discipuli de miraculis beate Marie virginis, fols. 390ra-404vb (Strassburg: Georg Husner, 1483) .

This book was a gift to the library from Astrik L. Gabriel in 1992. Herolt's sermon sequences survive in many manuscripts and were printed over forty times in the fifteenth century. The Promptuaria are "storehouses" of moral examples and tales, and miracles of the Virgin, which can be used readily by preachers. The book was once owned by the Cistercian monastery in Brombach.

Printed at the beginning of the volume (fols. 1r-22v) are extensive tables indexing materials on the ten commandments, the seven deadly sins, the seven sacraments, materials in the Sermones de sanctis, for dedications, Lent, a table of exempla, and of materials relating to canon law (Casus papales, Casus episcopales, Inhibitiones a sacra communione). The tables refer to sermon numbers and letters, printed in the body of the text, that divide the the text of the sermons alphabetically. A rubricator of this copy has indicated some of these letters in the margin for easier finding. The first folio of the Sermones de tempore (fol. 23r) bears an elaborate hand-drawn colored initial, with the ex libris in the upper margin.

No other copy of this book exists in the United States, nor in the British Library, nor in the Bibliothèque Nationale.
