Divus Thomas [de Aquino] in octo Politicorum Aristotelis libros cum textu eiusdem, interprete Leonardo Aretino (Venice: Simon de Luere for Andrea Torresano, 31 October 1500) .

This book is a meeting place of Scholastic and humanistic culture. The medieval commentary by Thomas Aquinas on the Politics of Aristotle is attached to the translation of the work by the famous humanist scholar, Leonardo Bruni (1369-1444). The printer Simon de Luere (active 1489-1519) often worked for his eminent colleague, Andrea Torresano (active 1479-1527), who acquired his press from Nicholas Jensen. The book is printed in two columns with Bruni's translation of Aristotle in larger type and Thomas's commentary in smaller type.
