Medieval Manuscripts

Manuscripts are described in David T. Gura, A Descriptive Catalogue of the Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts of the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College (University of Notre Dame Press, 2016). This catalogue describes the manuscripts newly acquired and discovered, updates bibliographical information, and corrects the errors in previous descriptions.

The previous catalogue was James Corbett, Catalogue of the Medieval & Renaissance Manuscripts of the University of Notre Dame (University of Notre Dame Press, 1978). For a concordance of the former "Corbett Numbers" and those in perpetual use see below.

Constable Manuscripts (Constable MS): a small collection of 14 fragments and documents donated in 2015 by Giles Constable in memory of his daughter Olivia Remie Constable.

Ferrell Manuscripts (Ferrell MS); a small collection of 2 codices and 4 fragments donated in 2017 by Mr. and Mrs. James E. and Elizabeth J. Ferrell.
