Mariale sive sermones de beata Maria virgine fratris Jacobus de Voragine (Paris: Iehan Petit I, 1503) .

Iacobus de Voragine composed this sermon sequence in honor of the Virgin Mary between 1292 and 1298. The printer of the book, Iehan Petit I (active 1492-1530), is the patriarch of a famous Parisian publishing family, whose press was in the "neighborhood" of St.-Jacques, and thus in the neighborhood of the ancient Dominican convent in Paris. Indeed, members of this family published and printed books by Dominican authors for nearly a century (see n° 49, n° 59, and n° 61). The title page bears Petit's device. The beginning of the sermons (fol. 2r) is faced by an engraving of the Annunciation (fol. 1v).
