Luys de Granada. Parte Primera de la Introduction del Symbolo de la Fe. Barcelona: Casa de Hubert Gotard, 1589.

Luis de Granada, a Dominican friar, was one of the most famous spiritual writers and pulpit-orators of his time. He published a large number of works in Latin, Spanish and Portuguese.

The Introduction is an apologetic work in which Fray Luis reveals his love for nature and his keen gift for detailed observation. The first part treats works of creation while the final parts focus on works of redemption. Each of the five section has its own title page and index. His Spanish treatises were published in Antwerp by the prestigious printer Christopher Plantin in 1572.
