Joannes de Pineda. Commentariorum in Iob. 2 vols. Coloniae Agrippinae: Apud Antonium Hierat sub Monocerote, 1600-1603. Juan de Pineda, a Spanish Jesuit scholar, was a professor in Cordoba and at the Imperial School in Madrid specializing in Biblical commentaries. He also published various sermons, among them his famous ones on the Immaculate Conception Father Pineda quotes Garcilaso Inca in the last volume ("tomus aliter") of his Commentariorum, regarding the name of Peru and the debate of its possible relation to the sacred region of Ophir.
