College Winter Sports Media Guides

Note: What follows is a finding aid to materials in the Joyce Sports Research Collection in the Department of Special Collections, Hesburgh Libraries of Notre Dame. It references winter sports media guides published by four-year colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. These guides typically emphasize men's basketball - but unlike the college basketball team media guides listed elsewhere on this website, they also include information on such other traditional winter sports as wrestling, ice hockey, indoor track, and gymnastics. Guides are arranged alphabetically by issuing school, and thereunder by date. Schools are alphabetized by their familiar, shorthand names (i.e., Army, Michigan, UCLA); full (current) names and locations follow in parenthesis. The listing of two shorthand (bold) names for a given school indicates that the school changed its name during the span of years for which guides are held. In these cases, schools are alphabetized by the second, or more recent, such name.
