Miscellaneous Scrapbooks

Note: This page is a finding aid to a collection of 5 scrapbooks on college and professional football, 1941-46, located in the Joyce Sports Research Collection, University Libraries of Notre Dame. The books were compiled by Bob Boller of Glen Ellyn IL, and donated to the University Libraries in 2001. Subjects treated include the annual Chicago Tribune All-Star Charity Games (which are dealt with intensively), the NFL Chicago Bears, and college bowl games. Many of the clipped articles and photographs that make up the scrapbooks derive from the Chicago Tribune, though specific sources are not typically identified. Contents are arranged chronologically; the scrapbooks are notable for their careful execution and fine state of preservation.
